Another Friday night concerns students from 12 to 14 years old. The play's objectives are to get these youths to reflect upon their drug and alcohol use, to make them aware of the possible consequences and to encourage them to adopt a responsible attitude towards drugs and alcohol.

Sophie is like all the kids her age : every Friday night, she wants to escape from her life at school. Friday night is often "party night". And music, dance and very often alcohol and marijuana are part of the ingredients of a party. Sophie doesn't really knom if she wants to take drugs and alcohol. Most of the kids around her do. Will they think she's too "straight" if she doesn't? Will she look more "cool" if she imitates her peers? Are there any alternatives to drugs and alcohol use ?

Sophie will question her own attitudes as well as her boyfriends' attitudes: Jeff who says he can hold his liquor but who always ends up ruining every party he goes to; and Samuel who seems to be living on another planet whose main activity now is to smoke joints.

Another Friday night is produced by Le Théâtre Parminou in collaboration with the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal.
