A prevention tool against the exploitation of young girls.
To inform youngsters about street gangs and juvenile prostitution.

The charming snakes are on the prowl, downtown, around schools, near the metro stations…

They prey upon young girls who let themselves be charmed by their sweet talk, captivated by their promises, seduced by their gifts.

They use love to lure their victims into their traps and to exploit them. Is there no way to escape?

THE CHARMING SNAKE is an interactive play that exposes the strategies used by street gangs to recruit new victims and that informs of the dangers of associating with their members.

This production was created in collaboration with the
Service de Police de Montréal, Neighborhood Station #41.

« I wish to thank the staff of the Théâtre Parminou for their thought provoking and highly professional presentation of The Charming Snake. This lively play was very much appreciated by our Secondary II Students. What they experiences in the staged situations is very close to reality. The play tackled real life situations, problems possible outcomes and solutions.
