Intervation Theatre

Social issues

Theatre is a medium that has become more and more popular. This living art, which appeals directly to the emotions, encourages open-mindedness. Our shows challenge the audience directly and induce its members to get involved, to reflect and also to react personally to the set of problems presented.

Testimonials

« Le Théâtre Parminou doesn't operate like other theatre companies: it comes and goes without much publicity, without making too much noise, and they fill up the theatre. They have been around for years dealing with subjects like violence, alcoholism, drug use and addiction, reaching out to real people, showing real situations. Le Théâtre Parminou does not do fiction. They present reality theatre. »

Jean Beaunoyer, La presse

« After having seen Sur le dos de l'amour, a Théâtre Parminou creation that explores the theme of sexual aggression by adults on children, it is easy to understand why this troupe has been around for so many years. »

Raymond Bernatchez, La Presse

« Qui dit vieux », a play that deals with the art of growing old, with humour and tenderness."A play filled with humour, fantasy and vitality, done with remarkable finesse. An easiness in getting the audience to participate without the slightest discomfort. That's the art of Le Parminou. »

François Houde, Le Nouvelliste

« Right from the start of the presentation, you captured the audience's attention and interest. The frequent and spontaneous laughter all through the show, as well as all the positive feedback we received confirmed the success of this activity. »

Claire Fortin, Cabinet of the Deputy Minister, Ministry of Health and Social Services

« This important get-together of the municipal milieu was a complete success and Le Théâtre Parminou troupe greatly contributed to it. The comments of the 400 participants were unanimous. The vitality, professionalism and warmth of the actors helped to create situations that our members could easily identify with. For our convention's opening, it was the best choice we could have made. »

Pierre-Paul Ravenelle, General Manager, COMBEQ

« We have evaluated the strategies of our pass campaigns and we have come to the conclusion that the best strategy is a direct approach. That is why we have decided to go with an innovative way of reaching our public: intervention theatre. »

Johanne Roy, B.Sc., Nathalie Hudon M.a.com., The Quebec breast cancer detection campaign

« La mammo.quel scénario! The comments received at the end of each presentation expressed the audience's high degree of satisfaction. During the week of your presentation and the following one, we were flooded with calls at the Quebec Breast Cancer Detection Campaign's coordination office. »

Thérèse Pelletier, M.Sc.Inf., Regional coordinator for the QBCDC in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis

« Rarely have I seen such rave reviews concerning a communication product at ACDI and international development.. In the light of such success, I can only hope that many more young people get the chance to see Chaque goutte d'eau.. »
